Description

The MACROTESTG2 by HT Instruments is not a HiPot tester but a multifunction installation tester. While it performs insulation resistance tests with DC voltage, which is similar to a DC HiPot, it is primarily designed for the safety testing of electrical systems rather than dedicated high-potential testing. The instrument is made in Italy and complies with safety standard IEC/EN61557-1.

Key Features

• Earth ground and soil resistivity: It measures earth ground resistance using 2, 3, or 4-pole methods and soil resistivity with the 4-pole Wenner method. An optional T2100 clamp allows for "stackless" earth ground resistance measurements.
• Power quality analysis: The device can analyze power and harmonics up to the 25th harmonic.
• Insulation resistance (limited HiPot function): It can perform insulation resistance testing at selectable DC test voltages of 50V, 100V, 250V, 500V, and 1000V.
• Continuity testing: It performs continuity tests on protective conductors with 200mA.
• Data connectivity: It includes a built-in Wi-Fi interface for connecting to iOS and Android devices, as well as a USB interface for PC connection. This allows for saving measurements to internal memory or the cloud for later analysis and reporting.
• Display: Features a resistive color touch-screen display with a user-friendly, icon-based menu.
