The Megger DET2/3 50M KIT is a high-performance, automatic digital ground tester designed to measure earth electrode resistance and soil resistivity. The 50M KIT includes a full set of test leads and accessories, including 165 ft (50m) of cable on reels. 

Key features

  • High resolution and accuracy: The DET2/3 offers 1 mΩ resolution, making it suitable for testing large or complex ground systems. It provides high accuracy for earth electrode grid and soil resistivity tests.
  • Versatile testing modes: This instrument supports 2-, 3-, and 4-pole resistance measurements, 3- and 4-pole ART (Attached Rod Technique), and stakeless resistance testing using clamps. It also measures leakage current.
  • Automatic test frequency selection: The device can automatically scan for and select the quietest test frequency, which helps to eliminate errors caused by electrical noise in the ground.
  • Data storage and download: The tester has a large internal memory for storing up to 500 records and 900,000 data points. Results can be downloaded to a PC via USB or saved to a USB flash drive.
  • Live trace and graphical display: A large, daylight-viewable color display shows not only numeric results but also a live graphical trace of measurements, which is useful for diagnosing test conditions.
  • Rugged and weatherproof: The DET2/3 is housed in a robust, dual-case design with an IP65 rating when the lid is closed for protection against water and dust.
  • Rechargeable battery: It uses an internal Li-ion battery that provides up to 10 hours of use and offers a fast recharge feature.
