Description

The Megger MIT310 is a rugged, digital/analog insulation and continuity tester designed for electrical contractors and maintenance applications. It is built for demanding environments and features a tough, rubber-armored case with a self-contained protective cover.

Key features
  • Test voltages: The MIT310 is capable of testing insulation at 250V, 500V, and 1000V DC.
Insulation resistance range: It can measure insulation resistance up to 999 MΩ.
  • Display: The tester features a dual display that shows test results both numerically with large, high-contrast characters and with an analog arc, which provides the feel of a traditional analog meter. An alternative model, the MIT310A, is available with a true moving-coil display.
  • Continuity testing: It includes a continuity test function with a fast-reacting buzzer. For hands-free use, continuity testing can begin automatically upon connecting the test leads.
  • Safety features: An "Intelligent Safety System" protects the user and the meter from incorrect use.
          1. Live circuit warning: Alerts the operator if the test probes are connected to a live circuit.
          2. Test inhibition: Prevents insulation testing if a circuit voltage over 50V is detected.
          3. Auto discharge: The circuit under test is automatically discharged after an insulation test.
  • Construction: The unit has an impact-resistant, rubber-overmolded case that is weatherproof to IP54 standards.
  • Battery: It runs on AA alkaline batteries and can also accept rechargeable NiCd or NiMH cells.
