Description

The Megger TTRU1-ADV is an advanced, handheld transformer turns ratiometer used to test the turns ratio, polarity, and excitation current of power, distribution, and instrument transformers. It is powered by rechargeable batteries and can induce up to 62.5 VAC for testing.

• Measurement capabilities: The TTRU1-ADV measures turns ratio, polarity, and excitation current using a single-phase step-down method. The results have a high accuracy of ±0.05% within a wide temperature range of -20°C to 50°C.
• Go/No-Go testing: The advanced model includes more comprehensive testing features compared to the basic model, such as Go/No-Go tests for short circuits, open circuits, and inductance. These tests allow for a rapid evaluation of a transformer's condition.
• Customizable settings: The TTRU1-ADV allows users to create and save custom transformer vector lists and voltages, which helps to simplify testing for common transformer configurations and minimize errors.
• User interface: An intuitive, full-color LCD screen provides a guided setup with color-coded leads and clamps to simplify the testing process. It also offers a pass/fail ratio evaluation.
• Data management: The device can automatically store test results, with a memory capacity of up to 10,000 sets of single-phase results. Saved data can be exported via USB to Excel or PDF format and can also be imported into PowerDB software.
• Portability and power: This handheld device is highly portable and runs on six AA NiMH rechargeable batteries that can be charged via a standard USB-C port. A full charge can support over 1,000 turns ratio tests.
