The Testo 606-2 is a compact, pin-type moisture meter that measures the moisture content in a variety of wood and building materials, and also measures the relative humidity and temperature of the surrounding air. This makes it useful for assessing material moisture and checking the drying or storage conditions of materials.

• Integrated sensors: It includes two ram electrodes for material moisture measurements, along with a capacitive humidity sensor and an NTC air thermometer for ambient conditions.
• Material characteristic curves: Like the 606-1, the 606-2 has pre-stored characteristic curves for accurate moisture measurements in wood and building materials, displaying the result as a percentage of dry mass.
• Wood materials: Characteristic curves for wood include beech, spruce, larch, oak, pine, maple, ash-tree, douglas fir, and meranti.
• Building materials: Characteristic curves for building materials include cement screed, concrete, plaster, anhydrite screed, cement mortar, lime mortar, and bricks.
