Testo 770-2 TRMS Hook Clamp Meter

Description

The Testo 770-2 (0590 7702) is a True RMS hook-style clamp meter, designed for non-contact measurement in tight spaces like packed switching cabinets. Compared to the 770-1, this model adds a microampere (\(A\)) measurement range for testing ionization current and an integrated adapter for Type K thermocouple temperature measurements.

• Retractable pincer arm: The unique, fully retractable pincer arm allows you to "hook" onto and safely measure individual, closely packed cables.
• True RMS: The True RMS measurement function provides accurate readings on distorted or irregular AC voltage and current waveforms.
• Automatic parameter detection: The meter automatically detects and selects the measurement mode for AC/DC current and voltage. Other parameters, such as resistance, continuity, diode, and capacitance, are also automatically detected.
• μA measurement range: This feature is specifically useful for measuring ionization current in heating systems.
• Temperature adapter: The included temperature adapter allows you to connect a compatible Type K thermocouple probe (ordered separately) for temperature measurement.
• Inrush current measurement: This function allows the meter to capture the inrush or starting current on motors and other loads.
