Description

The Chauvin Arnoux CA6416 is a high-performance clamp-on ground resistance tester designed to measure earth loop resistance, loop inductance, and leakage current. A key feature is its ability to perform tests without disconnecting the ground system, which is especially useful for checking multi-earthed systems in urban or industrial environments.

Key Features
  • Non-intrusive measurements: Measure ground resistance and impedance without disconnecting or de-energizing the ground system under test.
  • Safety features: Includes a hazardous voltage indicator with an alarm that activates when a potentially dangerous touch voltage is detected.
  • Ergonomic design: A force compensation system reduces user fatigue when opening and closing the clamp's jaws.
  • Selectable test frequency: The test frequency can be transposed to 50, 60, or 128 Hz to improve accuracy in inductive environments.
  • Multi-display mode: Shows the ground impedance and leakage current simultaneously, and in advanced mode, it can break down the resistive and inductive parts of the impedance.
  • Automatic functions: Features include automatic jaw calibration at start-up, a PRE-HOLD function that automatically holds the measurement when the clamp is opened, and automatic power-off.
  • Data analysis: Measurements can be timestamped and stored, with options to export data to a PC using GTC and DataView software for reporting.
