The Mitutoyo 368-781 Holtest Inside Micrometer, Type II is a mechanical, three-point internal micrometer with a measuring range of 275 to 300 mm. It is a more economical version of the standard Holtest, using hardened tool steel anvils instead of the titanium-coated carbide anvils of the Type I models.

  • Economical design: The Type II series uses hardened tool-steel anvils instead of the more expensive titanium-coated carbide, which makes it a more budget-friendly option.
  • Consistent accuracy: Despite the more economical material, Mitutoyo states the Type II models have the same accuracy as the titanium-coated Holtest versions.
  • Self-centering: The three anvils are spaced at 120° for true axial alignment, allowing for self-centering measurements.
  • Repeatable measurements: The ratchet stop mechanism ensures that a constant, even measuring force is applied, which helps ensure accurate and repeatable measurements.
