The Mitutoyo 114-135 5 Flute V-Anvil Micrometer is an analog, inch-based tool specifically designed for accurately measuring the outside diameter of cutting tools with five flutes, such as taps, reamers, and end mills. It features a V-shaped anvil and a pointed spindle that help to center and securely hold the workpiece. 

Key features 

  • Measures odd-flute tools: The 108° V-anvil design is specially made for accurately measuring the outside diameter of tools with five flutes.
  • Pitch diameter measurement: Models with a centerline groove on the V-anvil are available, which allow for measuring the pitch diameter of taps using the single-wire method.
  • Consistent force: The built-in ratchet-stop mechanism provides a uniform pressure on the workpiece, which helps produce precise and repeatable measurements.
