The Mitutoyo 123-102 is a 25–50 mm analog disc micrometer with hardened steel measuring faces, designed for measuring the root tangent length of gears and other parts with recessed or difficult-to-reach features. It is built for professional industrial applications and features a durable construction.

Key features
  • Application: Specifically designed to measure recessed features, such as the root tangent length of spur and helical gears.
  • Constant force: The ratchet-stop mechanism ensures a constant measuring force is applied to the workpiece, which helps produce precise, repeatable measurements.
  • Durability: The frame is finished with a baked enamel coating to resist rust and increase its lifespan. Some metric models also have carbide-tipped measuring surfaces to reduce wear.
  • Ease of use: The thimble and sleeve have a satin chrome finish to resist glare and improve readability. The thimble's markings are laser-etched for durability.
  • Convenience: The micrometer is supplied in a fitted plastic case for protection and storage.
