The Mitutoyo 124-177 Series 124 is a metric, interchangeable ball anvil-type gear tooth micrometer designed to measure the over-pin diameter of gears. It has a measurement range of 100 to 125 mm, a graduation of 0.01 mm, and an accuracy of ±5 µm.

Key features
  • Measurement faces: The micrometer features precision steel or carbide ball-tipped measuring faces, which are interchangeable to accommodate various gear modules ranging from 0.5 to 5.25.
  • Constant force: A built-in ratchet-stop mechanism helps ensure consistent and repeatable measurements by applying uniform pressure to the workpiece.
  • Analog display: The mechanical, non-digital micrometer has a satin chrome finish on the thimble and sleeve, with a laser-etched scale for easier reading.
  • Included accessories: The micrometer is supplied with a standard bar for setting the tool and a fitted case for storage. Interchangeable ball tips are sold separately.
  • Non-slip frame: The frame has a non-slip finish for a secure grip during use.
