The Mitutoyo 368-164 Holtest Inside Micrometer is a high-precision, 3-point mechanical tool for accurately measuring the internal diameters of bores between 12 and 16 mm. Its self-centering mechanism and constant-force ratchet stop ensure precise and repeatable measurements.

Key features
  • 3-point contact: Three anvils are spaced 120 degrees apart for stable, automatic self-centering within a bore. This design ensures true alignment with the axis of the bore, minimizing measurement error.
  • Blind-hole measurement: The instrument is designed to measure right to the bottom of a blind hole.
  • Ratchet stop: This mechanism applies a constant measuring force to ensure uniform pressure during each measurement. This prevents operator-to-operator variation and improves repeatability.
  • Laser-etched scale: The mechanical scale on the thimble and sleeve is laser-etched to improve readability and durability.
  • Analog display: This non-digital model provides a direct reading on its scale.
  • Metric units: The micrometer is designed to measure in metric units.
