Description

The Mitutoyo 368-170 Holtest Inside Micrometer is a non-digital, three-point internal micrometer designed for accurately measuring inside diameters between 50 and 63 millimeters. The three-point contact and self-centering mechanism allow for stable and repeatable measurements.

Key features
  • Three-point contact: The micrometer's design uses three anvils spaced 120° apart to ensure automatic centering and stable, accurate measurements of a bore's true diameter.
  • TiN-coated contact points: The measuring faces are coated with Titanium Nitride (TiN), which provides excellent durability, wear resistance, and impact resistance. This extends the life of the micrometer and maintains accuracy over time.
  • Ratchet stop: A constant-force ratchet stop mechanism is included to ensure every measurement is taken with a consistent amount of pressure. This feature significantly improves measurement repeatability.
  • Measurement of blind holes: The design allows measurements to be taken closer to the bottom of a blind bore (a hole that does not go all the way through a workpiece).
  • Laser-etched scale: The analog vernier scale on the thimble and sleeve is laser-etched for high contrast and readability, making it easier to take precise measurements.
  • Mechanical operation: As a non-digital tool, this micrometer relies on a purely mechanical operation for accuracy, eliminating the need for batteries.
  • Optional extension rod: For measuring deep holes, an optional 150 mm extension rod can be attached to increase the measuring depth.
  • Optional setting rings: For accurate zero-point adjustment, optional steel setting rings are available.
  • Durable construction: The body of the micrometer is made from high-grade tool steel with a satin chrome finish, which provides durability and helps resist rust and reduce glare.
