The Mitutoyo 368-875 Holtest Inside Micrometer, type II, 5 to 6" is a mechanical, three-point internal micrometer designed for measuring the inside dimensions of bores. It features alloy steel contact points, a ratchet-stop mechanism, and self-centering anvils for consistent and accurate measurements.

Key features 

  • Three-point contact method: Uses three alloy steel anvils spaced 120° apart to ensure the tool self-centers within the bore for more accurate and repeatable measurements. This eliminates errors that can occur when using a two-point micrometer off-center.
  • High accuracy: Features a graduation of \(.0002^{\prime \prime }\) and an accuracy of \(\pm .00025^{\prime \prime }\).
  • Measurement of blind holes: Designed to allow measurements to be taken closer to the bottom of blind bores.
  • Laser-etched scale: The scale on the thimble and sleeve is laser-etched to improve readability under various lighting conditions.
  • Optional extension rod: An optional extension rod can be attached to enable measurement in deep holes.
