The Mitutoyo 511-731 is a standard-type bore gauge, which measures the internal diameter (ID) of a hole. It uses a two-point contact system, along with a dial indicator (sold separately), to detect irregularities like ovality and taper. This model measures bores ranging from 0.7 to 1.4 inches.

  • Two-point contact: This system, using carbide-tipped contact points for durability, helps to detect geometry flaws such as ovality and taper.
  • Interchangeable anvils and spacers: The kit includes nine anvils and two spacers, allowing the gauge to measure a wide range of bore sizes within its designated range.
  • Durable construction: The contact points are tipped with carbide for high wear resistance.
  • Dial indicator required: The 511-731 is sold without an indicator. A compatible Mitutoyo dial indicator must be purchased separately to take measurements.
  • Ergonomic grip: The newer models in the 511 series feature a hollow-structured grip designed to reduce the transfer of heat from the operator's hand, which helps maintain measurement accuracy during prolonged use.
