The Mitutoyo 552-192-10 ABSOLUTE Coolant Proof Carbon Fiber Caliper is an ultra-lightweight, digital, and highly durable measuring tool with a 0 to 24-inch (0 to 600mm) range. Its construction and features allow it to be used in harsh workshop environments where it may be exposed to coolant, water, or dust.

  • Material: Made from Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP), which significantly reduces its weight compared to standard stainless-steel calipers. This design lessens hand fatigue during long measuring sessions, especially with such a large size.
  • Protection: Features an IP66 rating for dust-tight construction and protection against powerful water jets. This makes it resistant to contaminants like cutting oil and dust.
  • Interchangeable jaws: Comes with standard jaws but is designed to use a variety of optional interchangeable jaws, such as inside point, surface plate, scriber, and centerline jaws. A unique clamping mechanism allows for quick and easy jaw changes.
  • ABSOLUTE system: Uses Mitutoyo's ABSOLUTE electrostatic capacitance linear encoder. This technology retains the origin point, so you don't have to perform zero-setting every time the caliper is turned on. It also prevents over-speed errors.
  • Display and output: A large LCD provides a clear, single-value readout in both inch and metric units. The caliper also has Statistical Process Control (SPC) output, which allows for data transfer to a computer for process control and analysis.
  • Measurement functions: Includes several functions for specialized measurements, such as zero-setting, offsetting, and a preset function for setting a desired starting point.
