The Mitutoyo 123-128 Disc Micrometer is a 3 to 4-inch, manual-analog tool with hardened steel disks, designed for measuring the root tangent length of spur and helical gears. Its thin, flat disks also allow for measurements in narrow recesses that are difficult to reach with a standard micrometer.

  • Measurement disks: The spindle and anvil have hardened steel disks to reach hard-to-access features. The measuring faces are carbide-tipped for enhanced wear resistance.
  • Constant force mechanism: A ratchet-stop ensures that a consistent pressure is applied to the workpiece, leading to precise and repeatable measurements.
  • Spindle lock: The tool features a spindle lock to hold measurements securely in place once adjusted.
  • Satin-chrome finish: The thimble and sleeve have a satin chrome, rust- and glare-resistant finish for easier reading.
  • Non-slip grip: The frame is covered with a non-slip finish, allowing for a better grip during use.
