The Mitutoyo 146-233 Groove Micrometer is an inch-based analog micrometer with a non-rotating spindle and flanged measuring faces, used to measure the width, depth, and location of grooves inside and outside bores and tubes.
Key features
Flanged measuring faces: Features 0.5-inch diameter, hardened steel flanged measuring discs on both the spindle and the anvil for measuring the width and location of grooves.
Non-rotating spindle: The spindle moves in and out without rotating, which helps prevent marring delicate workpiece surfaces during measurement.
Ratchet stop: A two-directional ratchet stop mechanism provides an audible click and ensures that repeatable, constant measuring force is applied to the workpiece.
Dual scales: The sleeve and thimble have laser-etched graduations for both inside and outside measurements, eliminating the need for corrections.
Measurement range: The imperial model has a 1 to 2-inch outside measurement range and a 1.05 to 2.05-inch inside measurement range.
High accuracy: According to Higher Precision, the micrometer has a resolution of 0.001 inch and an accuracy of ±0.0004 inch.
Durable construction: It has a satin chrome finish on the sleeve and thimble for better readability and a longer lifespan. It is also supplied in a fitted plastic case for protection.
