The Mitutoyo 146-234 Groove Micrometer is a specialized precision tool used to measure the width, depth, and location of grooves, both inside bores and on outside diameters. It features a non-rotating spindle and a two-directional ratchet stop to provide constant, repeatable measuring force.

  • Measures multiple dimensions: This tool can be used to measure both the width and location of grooves inside bores and tubes, as well as on external components.
  • Non-rotating spindle: Unlike some other micrometers, the spindle on the 146-234 does not turn as it advances. This prevents marring or twisting of the workpiece being measured.
  • Two-directional ratchet stop: The micrometer includes a ratchet stop that clicks when the correct measuring pressure is applied, ensuring consistent and repeatable measurements.
