Description

The Mitutoyo 368-768 Holtest Inside Micrometer is a non-digital, three-point internal micrometer designed for measuring the inside diameter of bores in the 30 to 40 mm range. This Type II model is an economical version with hardened steel anvils instead of the titanium-coated carbide found on more expensive models.

Key features

  • Three-point contact: The three anvils are self-centering, ensuring stable and repeatable measurements of the inside dimension of a bore.
  • Constant measuring force: A ratchet-stop mechanism provides uniform pressure, which helps to ensure precise and repeatable results.
  • Blind bore measurement: The design allows for measurements to be taken close to the bottom of blind bores.
  • Expansion rod capability: An optional extension rod can be used to measure deep holes.
  • Durable construction: The measuring contacts are made of hardened steel (over HRC 60), and the scale is laser-etched for easy reading and longevity.
  • Metric scale: Features a vernier scale for precise metric measurements.
